Sinatra stands out for his density, staple length and uniform high frequency crimp. His legs are straight, bite is good and other than minor problems with his hind end gait caused by a spinal injury as a yearling, Sinatra is sound.
I trim Sinatra's topknot every 3 months just to keep him seeing. His staple length was 5 1/4" Last year and it looks like it will be no less in 2011. The staples are well defined with 7 crimps per inch and good amplitude. Crimp from his topknot to his hocks and beyond. Sinatra is so dense, his fleece stays very clean.
We have been cautious about breeding Sinatra because of his injury, but have been very happy with his offspring. We are now comfortable with offering his services to the public.
Like all of our other herdsires, Sinatra has a gentle temperament.
